The Hon. M. Cohen passed through Tiniaru on Saturday on his way to Dunedin.
Mr James Lindsay, manager of - the Bank of New Zealand, left Timaru on Saturday for Mount Cook. Mr A. H. Cockayne, of tho Depart meat of Agriculture, was a "passenger tor the south by Saturday’s express.

There was a great gathfrinft oi Boy Scouts and Girl Guides ai New town Park, Wellington, on Sitvi/r----day, to say good-bye to the Gover-nor-Genpral (Vis'eount Jellicoe j and Viscountess Jellicoe. The hi-i 1 . George Jellicoe was amongst me Scouts,-and the Hon. Prudence Jemcoe among the Girl "Guides. Viscount Jellicoe was presented by the SeOu.a with a model Scout done in BiU'vr and greenstone, and Viscountess-Jt£-licoe received from the Guides a rlu-ing-whip with greenstoue haium silver-mounted.
