The death occurred in Chnstchwroh on Friday of Mrs -loan Mackenzie, widow of tho late Mr W . \\ . Mackenzie, formerly of liinaru. Mrs Mackenzie line! been living with her daughter. Mrs A. B. Lane, of Knowles Street, Christchurch. Tor some years past, and she had reached tho advanced age of 81. She was "one of tho oarl.v residents of Timaru, her husband who predeceased her by many years, being one of the early managers of the Timaru branch of tho Nntio'o..
