CHINA’S POLICY.
SEEKING ALLIANCE AGAINST JAPAN. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. PEKIN, June 17. A mandate has been issued ratifying the Chino-Russian agreement. The Government lias replied to the Japanese Note containing objections to certain points involved in ,the agreement. , , The reply points out that the agreement adjusts matters regarding which China aiul Russia alone have rights and interests. The Chinese Government, therefore cannot accept the reservations suggested in the Japanese Note. , „ , Almost similarly worded Notes were sent to the Franoo-American Legations replying to their Notes, which reminded China of her obligations regarding the Chinese Eastern railway.
