The course chosen for the South Canterbury Hunt’s point-to-point meeting on Saturday next is described as the best raced over ior several years. Altogether 21 fences have to lie negotiated. including two road doubles, and the jumps afforded plenty < I variety, making the course an ideal cue from flic competitive point oi view. A natural grand stand will bo formed by a hill from which every fence can lie seen. The course is in the vicinity of the Wnitawa railway slalioii, on (lie west .side of the Point road, and cars and vehicles will lie able to reach it by taking Driscoll's road the lasi, road leading west of the main i oad before Waitnwa railway station-about S miles from Timaru. Horses from Enirlie may he untnirked at Wnitawa. d’ho first race is tiinvtl to commence, at 2 p.m.
