CHAMPIONSHIPS AT .AVANGANUI. Bv Telegraph—Press Association. AA'ANGANUI, June 6. At the North Island sheep dog trials the Short Head championship resulted : Little’s (North Canterbury) “Jack,” 56 points, 1; Scott’s (AVaverley), “Scotty,” 55, 2; Dunlop’s (Mereremere) “Lad,” 51, 3; Guthrie’s (AVaitotara) “Chep,” 5. 4; Pratt’s (Te Kuiti) “Darkie,” 49, 5. Mr Little won the McLean silver rose bond for most wins in classes 1, and 2, and tied with Air Scott, the tie counting as a win. The Lillico Shield was won by Air Pratt’s Darkie.
