A message from Chester (Pennsylvania) says that Mr Ivuranosko Fujii, a Japanese who completed his studies in Christian missionary work, has refused to accept a diploma from the Crozier Theological Seminary, as a protest against Japanese exclusion. Mi Fujii, in a letter to the Seminary authorities, said: "So long as such exclusion measure is imposed on us, in this so-called Christian country, American missionary work in Asia will have a most difficult situation in teaching Christianity.” Mr 1 Fujii’s protest is known to have the approval of the missionary societies, who have consistently opposed tho exclusion measure, during the legislative stages, and predicted that tho adoption of the measure would seriously hamper missionary endeavour in Japan.
