NURSE CAVE'LL ANALOGY. MRS LINDSAY’S DEATH. By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, August 3. The “Morning Post,” featuring the case of Mrs Lindsay, states that relatives received a letter from the Sinn Fein Minister of Defence (Mr Burgess) announcing liter execution because sho was a spy. Airs Lindsay ivas a widow, aged 70, and was held prisoner tor months ■aeloro being killed. She was forced to write a letter to Sir Novi! Macßeadv asking for a reprieve for several Sinn Feiners, saying that if they were executed her life would be forfeit.
It is beieved that she. was executed: as soon as the Sinn Feiners were.
The “Morning Post” says it is an. analogous case to Nurse Cavell s, though it) points- out that the latter was tried according to the rules of the Court of Justice, and makes bitter comments on the changed attitude of the British Government ill negotiating with Mr do Valera, who is the head of the gang of assassins which perpetrate tbeso unspeakable barbarities.
