ESSEN MINERS. DEMANDING PEACE. (Reuter's Telegrams.) Received 0.5 a.m., August 10+ h. AMSTERDAM, August 9. A mass meeting of eight thousand miners at Essen, to discuss food and wages questions, developed into a demonstration in favour of peace, and a resolution was passed demanding' that the Reichstag vigorously push a resolution to this effect. HUNGARIAN MUNITION WORKS EXPLODED. ZURICH, August 9. By an explosion in munition works near Cracow, forty-eight artillerymen were tilled and many injured.
