HELIGOLAND
PLUCKY GERMAN CRUISER. FOUGHT LIKE MAD WILD CAT. LONDON, Sept. 3 (a.m.) A naval Lieutenant alter describing the Heligoland fight adds: '-The German cruiser was immensely gallant "When last seen she was absolutely ■wrecked below and aloft. Her whole midships was a fuming inferno, yet she had one gun forward aiid one aft still spitting forth fury and defiance like a wild cat mad with its wounds. A cruiser of t'/io Breslau class recommenced firing. AVo d.d not care a farthing, for stra'ght ahead of us in lordly procession, like elephants walking through a j.nek of dogs, came the Lion, Queen Mary, Invincible, and New Zealand, great, grim, uncouth, like some antediluvian monsters."
STJLL MAD WILD CATS. The "Daily Chronicle" states that several of the German naval prisoners from Heligoland are confined to barracks in Edinburgh. Led by Admiral Tirpitz's son, they desperately attempted to rush tho Territorial Guards. All were secured and taken to Edinburgh Castle, strongly guarded.
