A lot'of grain has been threshed from tho stook, and all that has come to hand so far has been m excellent condition. There is very little business passing in. oats awl values remain at Is 9d to Is H» per bushel, on trucks. Potatoes aro coining to hand freely, and they are being retailed ut from Jd to id per lb. PRIVATE CABLES. DaWtv and Co. yesterday received the following cables dated , London, Thursday.—"Rather better demand for frozen meat. The market for frozen mutton is rather easier, but there is more disposition to do business at the decline. The market for frozen lamb is weak, but without quotable change. Stocks of Australian lamb are accumur latii" There is a limited demand for frozen beef. Prices of Australian beef are higher by id to id, owing to small supply. Stocks of New Zealand beef are exhausted." The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Ageuev Company have received a cablegram from their London Office, dated Ist February, to the following effect:—"Wheat.—We quote A « s *™- lian cargoes of wheat c.i.t. at 3os bo. The quotation is only nominal as there i= very little demand owing to increased supplies. The market is likely to decline. Nominal quotations for New Zealand f.a.q. wheats c.i.f. are longberried 31s 3d, short-berried 30s 9d per quarter."
