j JOTTINGS. , & meeting of the Council of tl:e - 'Jvew Zealand Bowling Association held 5 a t Dunedin, on Tuesday night, the , question of .allowing the Dunedin Cen- , tre to hold a tournament at Christ-mas ! discussed. Intimations -were received that Christchurch and Invereargill did not opjiose the holding of the proposed tournament. A deputation from the Centre waited on the Council, which, after discussion, refused permission to hold the tourunament no reason being given. The Dunedin Centre generally hold f ournamen fc at Easter, but as faster falls at such a late date this yea- ; fc is doubtful if it would be advisable to hold a tournament at all -'je circumstances. Tnless t.he weather at that time of the year is an excejtijn to . rule much damage would inevitably be done to the green and in all probability there W-ill be no Dunedin , Tournament at all this season.
