Kirkham, the winner and fastest time man of the • Sydney-Goulburn Road Race, put up a. fine performance on the following Saturday, when from scratch he won. the Barnet-Glass Road Race from Scone to Newcastle. 95 aailes, in 4hr. oOmin. 43sec. R. Munro recently made an attempt to lower Leon Meredith's English unpaced 100 miles record of 4hr. 52miu. ol 4-osee. Munro's time was ohr. 25min., and he is one of the best of the Australian road riders. A. J. Clarke, the Australian, recently won the 10 miles championship bicycle race at Salt Lake City, TJ.SJL, in. 21min 13sec. Kramer, at New Haven, "U.S.A., won a 25-mile scratch bicycle race in 54min. 13sec. G. Walker (Australia), won. a -mile handicap in Imin 50 2-osec. The Temnka Caledonian Society ieelected IVIr Thos. Gunnion to the office of President.
