During the progress of a charity congress here, Madame Zaszavski, a Russian delegate, drew a dagger and rushed at the chairman. She was foiled, and wounded a neighbour. She exclaimed, "He prevented me speaking." Zaszavski was overpowered, and as she is mentally deranged was taken to a. hospital. Zaszavska. formerly attempted the lives of M. Casimir Perier, the French President, and Herr Nunsterherg. Burgomaster of Berlin.
