MAORI WAR GRANTS.
WHO ARE ENTITLED. The persons eligible to make claims for land grants for Maori War service, according to the instruction from the Department of Justice, ara as follows : All men, formerly in the naval and military forces, wiio were engaged in the suppression of the Native insurrection in the northern part of Auckland and have since been resident in New Zealand.
All persons who have retired from naval or military service with a good character to settle in New Zealand before December 31st, 1868, and settled in the Dominion;
