BUILDINGS GUTTED. Per Press Association. STRATFORD. May 27. A fire broke out in Broadway early this morning hi Air Abraham Cook's tailoring establishment, putting the premises and spreading to the adjoining properties. ' The prompt actum of the Brigade arrested the progress of the fire.' but the Com Chambers wpiv damaged to the extent of between" £2OO and £3OO. The insurance on destroyed or damaged properties are—]n the Sun office —Mr Cook's stock £2OO, Mr J.AV. Simmons 7 fittings £<lH, Corn Chambers £700; Bemlall's stock £1.00; in the Australian Alliance —Bendall £100: in the Commercial Union—£l.so on Cook's buildings; in the "Koyal—£2oo on Simmons' building.
