PROTESTS FROM CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Association. .'' ■ . CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 15. [ The City Council has decided to protest against several provisions in the Hospital and' Charitable, Institutions Bill and : agreed to motions asking the Christckurch. members of Parliament to supply copies of the proposed scale of subsidies for the 'Council's consideration before .the Bill; is proceeded with, requesting, that, the Ashburton and North Canterbury charitable aid distrcit remain as it was under the Act of 1885, and protesting against 1 any proposal to divide the Twigger and Morale- bequests be tween the North. Canterbury and Aslw burton districts. A deputation cori-l sisting of the Mayor and' Councillor' Parsons was appointed to go to _ .'Wellington to further these resolutions.
