BRADBURY MOTOR CYCLE
INTRODUCED TO TIMARTJ. Mr "W. JEEopkins, of Timaru, has been appointed sole agent for the famous Bradbury 3J h.p. motor cycle, toe first specimen of which, is on view at Mr Hopkins' premises in Stafford Street. The machine is made at the Wellington Works, Oldham, England, is a sterling piece of machinery, and its price, £65, entitles it to recognition as one of the cheapest of motor
cycles. ! f]io motor is Vertical, and tho. diamond frame is built into tho engine case, a result obtained by a combined crank chamber and bottom bracket casting of special design, ensuring great strength and rigidity, and obtaining the advantago of the vertical engine with the best type of frame. The frame is built"-low inches) with a long wheel base, and is fitted with all the latest improvement. Tile wlic«ds have heavy gauge spokes; the tyres are clincher ruobcr studded and the engine is a J n.p., hall-bearing one, 87 by Bv, bore and .stroke, while the \<l\<.» are interchangeable and are claimed to be larger than those of aa\ other motor of the same horse P<*f r ; Tl„. ignition is the Bosch high tension magneto, D.A.2., the carburetter Jjrown and liarlow's improved design with handle bar control, and the exhaust of the latest improved pattern fitted with a cutout and operated bv the fwb whilst riding- The caparftv ot" the tank is about 1J gallons of petrol,* and (uhrk<ating oil about 3 pints; and the transmission is made of the bc.-t qualitv V-shaped rubber, *-m belt. The brakes are two in imml>er. a foot brako actiug on the belt rim and a Mowden brake on the back rim. As the machine is introduced here for the first time, testimonials come from outside the Dominion. All riders who have used the 3radbury sp'-.nk most highly of it.
