PROPOSED LICENSING HILL. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 22. Mr_ A. S. Adams, late president of the Sew Zealand Alliance, addressed a meeting which was attended by uOuut thirty members of the Legislature to explain the wishes of the alliance as expressed in the legislation to be introduced by Mr Laureiisoii tliii session. Three provisions will b:» incorporated in the Bill. It will absolutely prohibit the sale of alcoholic liquor from breweries in districts whero no license has been carried and provide for a Dominion poll, tlu> issue of license or • _':«y-nso to Ik* decided by a hare majority. 1 ne wishes of the Alliance were stated by Mr Adams in an address of about an hour's duration, and he afterwards answered questions. No attempt was made to discover the opinions of members upon the points involved in the Bill.
