CRUELTY TO CHINESE. Tress Association-By Telegraph-Copyright Received 1.5 a.m., July ,17th. SYDNEY, July 16. The Chinese Commissioners who visited Samoa to enquire into the charges of cruelty to Chinese hy German planters, state that the reports are substantially correct.
A petition has been sent to the Chinese Consul-General of Australia requesting him to communicate with the Viceroy at.Canton and ask for the protection of the Chinese in Samoa.
