MILLERS'ASSOCIATION.
NEGOTIATIONS IN PROGRESS. Per Iress Association. CHRiSTCHURCH, June 1. A reporter this morning interviewed Mr Henry AVood, the newly-appointed chairman of tie New Zealand Flourmillers' Associntbn, regarding the agreement which Forms the basis of the Association. " I don't- know any', thing about it" said Mr Wood. "We expect to overcome our" little difficulties, but wlim I can't tell you just now. There ire a number of negotiations to be fone through, and it is impossible to say just now when the agreement wil he finally completed."
Statements have appeared in some of the leading pipers of the Dominion to the effect -.hat the Millers' Association had renewed their Agreement for three months, and that Evans and Co., of Timaui, had withdrawn from the Assoeiaticn, but we have it on reliable authority that these statements are lot ill accordance with fact. The rosition is that the associated millers' agreement exnired . on Monday last, and nothing definite lias yet been settled as to what will be done in the future.
