MARATHON RACE

Sixty competitors started in the Windsor-Stamford Bridge Marathon race, for the "Sporting Life's" challenge trophy., value £SOO, which will he held for twelve months.
Barrett, of the Polytechnic Club, was first in 2hrs 42min 31sec; Lord, of Wanbley Park Club, was second .in 2hrs 44 min 33sec; and Green, of Sutton Club, third in 2hrs 49min lsec. SETTLING UP MEETING. Per Press Association. AYELLINGTON, May 10.
The Olympic Games representation committee held their final meeting tonight. A statement of the total expenses in connection with H. K. Kerr's representation in the Olympic walking events decided at Shcpperd's Bush (England) was submitted. The su'rpjus after paying the New Zealand representative's expenses amounted to £7 16s 6d. The committee resolved to donate the amount unconditionally to the Wellington Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association.
