Presa Association-By Telegraph-Copyright LONDON, May 9. Meat is unchanged in price. Rabbits arc practically unsaleable, even at a great reduction. There is keen competition at the wool bales. Americans and Germans are good buyers. Best merinos are now 10 per cent.- higher. Fine to medium crossbreds are 10 to 15 per cent, higher. The following were the average prices realised for fleece portions of the clips named:—Tekoa 12-J-d, Ngakonui 13-id, Whataroa Bd, Kaingaroa 13 d, Puketoi 13£ d. Forty-six thousand four hundred and twenty bales have been catalogued to date, end 45,128 bales sold.
Dalgety and Co. have declared a dividend of 0 per cent. The Board of Trade returns for April show that the imports increased by £'2,099,267; the exports decreased by £1,746.880; and the re-exports increased by £1,857,772. The. improvement in the imports is due partly to the advance 'in prices, especially in wheat, and partly to large imports of wool and cotton, and certain" other articles on the. eve of the delivery of the Budget.
