In connection with the..Chinese new year holidays, the Chinese employed at the ;Deep Mine refused to work'. They smashed the compound, and 800 of them were repelled by police, who eventually fired, killing six and wounding. 15 of the Chinese. TRIAL OF DINIZULU.
CHARGES DENIED
DURBAN, Jan. 22
Dinizulu testified denying the charges, and declared that-lie refused to allow Bambaata to stay' at Asatu. He reluctantly consented to Bambaata's family remaining. .He was afraid to inform Saunders of this, because Bambaata was an enemy of the Government. ' ' • i- ' ■ ■
