Per Press Association

WELLINGTON, Jan. 19.

Council. ■ The candidates may (as they were perfectly entitled to do) have placed certain of their views before their constituents. The publication in full of the circular in Mr Hoare's .possession will show that the candidates in placing their views before the centres, "orior to the election, desired to act in a perfectly honest manner. The Otago and Southland Centres resolved to support the Wellington candidates after learning their views, and subsequently ■ passed resolutions favouring the' removal- of the headquarters of the Association from Christchurch.
