WELLINGTON, Jan. 19.
The chairman of the Wellington Centre makes ' the following reply to Mr Hoare, of Christchurch, concerning a circular touching On the election that was not held:—The Wellington Centre neither authorised nor _ issued any circulars in ■support-of or/hi connection with the election of a N.Z.A.A. Council. ■ The candidates may (as they were perfectly entitled to do) have placed certain of their views before their constituents. The publication in full of the circular in Mr Hoare's .possession will show that the candidates in placing their views before the centres, "orior to the election, desired to act in a perfectly honest manner. The Otago and Southland Centres resolved to support the Wellington candidates after learning their views, and subsequently ■ passed resolutions favouring the' removal- of the headquarters of the Association from Christchurch.
