LOCAL OPTION.
THE HUTT ENQUIRY. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 19. The Court of Enquiry into the Hutti local option poll:gave an interim judgment this afternoon. As to points which the respondents had to answer, the Court held that the allegations of the appointment of partisans of the trade as officials was not sustained, nor were the charges of officers leaving tlio booth during the poll. The Court said there might have been an irregularity committed in the ballot boxes not being collected on the night of the poll, but that was not an irregularity affecting the result of the poll. The Court wished to hear an answer to trie charges of gross irregularity at the official count, or personation, of the display of the words "liberty and beer" on vehicles on the polling day, and of' the illegal disposal of beer.
