TIMARU B V. TEMUKA. This match was played in the Athletic Grounds yesterday and resulted in an easy win for Timaru "by 96 to 33. For Timaru, Orbell made a very good stand, for < 30 and Gresson hit hard for his 24, while ] for Temuka T. E. Brown 12 and R. Bus- ' ton 11 were the only players to reach double figures. In bowling Montgomery was most successful for the home team and McCaskill and Minifie for the visitors. < Enjoyable afternoon tea was kindly pro- ' vided by Mrs Smithson. The first wicket made a good start, putting on 71 runs. Cor and Williams played very steadily for their runs. The innings was declared closed at five wickets for 115 runs. Winchester saved the game on time by two wickets. B. R. Macdonald showed good form for 20. A. B. White at point was conspicuous for excellent fielding..
