Our local market continues without speoial feature Business consists of shipment.^ to London and small gules by private contract of Bundry lots of odds and cuds from diflteront stations. Recent advices from London show m some instances that purchases of betterclass wools will leavo a profit, but tho great bulk of South Australian wools of modium and inferior qualities realisod a better price looally than had been obtained m London. SHEEPSKINS. Competition for skins continne.s very firm, and good merinoa, foil woolled, arc saleable from 4s to 43 6d eaqh ; pelts aro selling from Is Cd to 2s 6d for picked skins ; seconds and Inferiors from Gd to 9d oaoh. HIDES. We roporfc a good demand for hides at lato lates, and as prices m Sydney and tho other colonial markets have recently advanced, valnO3 here aro likoly to be well maintained. Best heavy hides are worth from 4Jd to 4Jd per lb ; light weight, 3Jd to 4d per lb ; calfskins, 6d per lb. TALLOW. London advices are still unfavourable, and values there show no tendency to stiffen. Best mutton tallow is worth abont J220 per ton locally, whilst inferior and mixed lots only realise JJI2 to £,V\ per ton, and small irregular lots m tins, &c., from 10a to 12s per cwt. WHEAT. The improved tone m tho markot reported In our last ciroular has been maintained. A parcel of 10,000 bushels ohanged hands at 4s 4d delivered at tho mill door, but sellers aro not now disposed to accept this figure Tho firmer feeling manifested m tho Melbourne market, our principal competitor this soason, has had its influence upon holders here, who aro asking from 4s 5d to 4s 6d per bushel at Port Adelaide. FLOtTR. A fair business is being dono m townbrands and patent roller flour. Tho demand for country flour continues somewhat dull, but no great quantities are offering. Wo quote town flour £0 10s to £9 15s per ton ; patent Tollor, J3lO to .£lO 5s per ton ; country brands, .88 15s to £9 per ton f.o.b. Port Adelaide. There is some enqniry for housohold, which is saleable at £8 per ton. OATS. The market continues steady, bnt the demand ha 3 fallen off very considerably. Fair avorago feed is worth 2s 9d to 2s lOd storo door Port Adelaido, bags extra. BAKLEY. Tho demand for barley continnos quiet, brewers having gonerally completed their purchases for this season's requirements. Malting is worth 4s 6d to 4s 9d, and feed from 2s to 3s per bushel. BRAN. Thero is a good demand for bran at about Is 3d per bushel. rOLLARD Is quoted at from Is* 3d to Is Id. BUTTER Thero is a good demand for fresh butter and for prime New Zealand potted, which butter la worth lid to Is por lb. CHEESE. Our market is quieter.
