The cricket match New South Wales v. South Australia began to-day. The visitors in the first innings scored 162, Kelly (50), Donnan (35), Mackenzie (3-1), and Garrett (13) being: the chief scorers.

Jones, took .5 wickets for 49, and Evans 4 for 46.

Tho homo team have lost eno wicket for -17, Darling and Lyons being both not out with 19 and 21 respectively. The weather was fine and the. wicket 111 good order, and there wa3 a large attendance of tho public. lredalo was dismissed first ball and Gregory failed to score.

Mackenzie mid Donnanmadeagood stand and livened up tho game considerably. Kelly played patient and correcl cricket for his score.

Later, South Australia made 187 ; Lyons 78, Hill 49, Darling 19,

McKibbin took seven wickets for 51, Atwell two for 60, Turner one for 68.

In the second innings New South Wales have lost seven wickets for 136; Noble 69, Iredale 12, McKenzie 11. The weather is fine and the at-

tendance good,

Lyons played a dashing innings, quite in his old style, and with Hill, who displayed his usual strong defence, mado a long stand,

McKibbin maintained an excellent defence, and the' batsmen found him almost unplayable. Noble's innings was an excellent display of rapid storing.
