TREATMENT OF AN HERBALIST.
AN IMPORTANT CASE. | (BY TELEGKAPH-PRK:<S ASSOCIATION,) Napier, March 2. ! The Stipendiary Magistrate to-day gave his decision in the case of Newman v. Palmer, which has been before the Court on several occasions. The plaintiff suffered from lumbago, and went to Palmer, a herbalist. The latter applied liniment largely composed of ether, and left the room. Plaintiff, feeling cold, walked to a lighted gas stove, when the ether caught fire, very seriously iujuring him. , He brought the action to recover £100 damages. The Magistrate now non-suited plaintiff.
