AN IMPORTANT SCHEME.

Wellington, July 15. Tub Suburban Borough of Karori is considering a scheme for an electric tramway to thotown. The cost is estimated at £10,000, and the Guloher Co. has offered to run and maintain it for 9d per car per mile, each car carrying 20 to 30 passengers. The idea is to get the Wellington and Karori boroughs to undertake the construction of the line by means of a special committee has been appointed to ascertain all the necessary preliminary particulars.
