THE LIQUOR TRAFFIC.

Wellington, July 15. A deputation from the Wellington Pro* hibition League waited on Mr Earnshaw, this afternoon to express the League's appreciation of his action respecting the attempt of shelving the liquor question. Mr Earnshaw thanked the deputation, and said the course pursued by him though painful, had been so far successful that the Premier had promised that Government should give every facility for debating the liquor Bill now before the House.
