Wellington, Wednesday/7 p.m, A mebtiug of the principal members of tho Opposition was held in tlio Provincial Buildings this morning, to consider what steps aro to bo taken upon tho second reading of the Abolition Bill. It was decided that no division should bo forced by the Opposition, and if'the Government called for one, those who were in favour of second reading (but no further), could record their vptes accordingly, and those absolutely opposed to tho bill will go into the lobby.
