SOLD IN EUROPE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. LONDON', August 2. The Australian Surplus Board auctioned 6753 horses in Franco at an average price of £35. One thousand five hundred l andi forty-three inferior animals were sold to butchers at an average price of £l7, and 1400 superior to the Belgian Government at £55. The War Office is taking over 7000 Australian horses and 1 3000 mules in Egypt.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
