SUPREME COURT.
WELLINGTON SESSIONS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Juno 4. A divorce case involving a. claim for damages amounting to £4OOO is being heard at the Supreme Court. The petitioner is Albert Ernest Orlando Brooks, building contractor of To Ore Ore. Mastorton, tho respondent being Cecilia Mary Myrtle Brooks, and the corespondent Donald M'Kenzio of Hillend, Bidoford, Masterton. The grounds for the petition aro adultery. The parties were married in 1001 in Taranaki, and there had been four children of the union. Between October, 1910 and December, 1018 it was alleged that respondent had been guilty of misconduct "with M’Kenzie at various places, including his farm. X’elitioner, as a contractor, was frequently away from home ,and the misconduct, said the counsel, took place in his absence. Respondent claimed two more children than were mentioned in the petition but it was contended that two were not children of the petitioner. Respondent had admitted the adultery. M'Keuzie was a wealthy man worth £30,000 or, £40,000, and 'to respondent he gave now a £lO note now a £5 note, gifts of which respondent used to boast.
