JERSEY CATTLE.

SALE AT WAIWAKAIHO. That Jersey cattle are maintaining their popularity among the hairy farmers was amply proved at the sale which was conducted by Mr. Newton King at his Waiwakaiho Yards on "Wednesday afternoon on account of Mr. P. H. E. .Surrey, of Huiraugi. There was a very fair' attendance, and the cows and heifers sold at very satisfactory iigures, but there was little demand for bulls, it being too early in the season. Mr. Surrey has been breeding Jerseys for some years past, and the tests ho has scoured at the Waitara Dairy Company’s Factory go to show the quality of his stock from a butter-fat point of view, whilst ho has also been a successful exhibitor at the various shows. Thirty lots were disposed of, and the sale realised over £IOOO. Following are the details:— COWS.
