ENTERTAINMENTS.

hamilton-plimmer season. COMMENCES TO-NIGHT. All is now in readiness for the opening of the eagerly awaited HamdtonPlimmer Company’s season. Two nights only will ho bestowed on us, as dates ahead necessitate a short season here. The members of the company aro all favourably known to local playgoers, and no doubt a warm welcome will bo extended to the principals. A Woman of Impulse” will be staged this evening and unusual interest attaches itself to the play, insomuch that this is its first performance here and also that it comes to us with the hall-mark of England, American and Australian successes stamped upon it. It is said to bo a play of intense dramatic interest and delightful attractiveness. Of the Sydney production the Sydney Morning Herald wrote:—“Judging by the excited interest with which the plot was followed and tho enthusiasm with which tho principals were called and re-called, the piece should run for several weeks. Play-goers should not miss seeing this fine company in Victor Widnell’s play. The intricate Sardouesque plot with its double interest of underground diplomacy and the peril of a woman’s honour is l developed with a masterly hand.” The caste will include Mrs. Robert Brough, Miss Beatrice Day, Miss Ena Collins, Miss Katie Towers, Miss Muriel Dale, Messrs H. 11. Roberts, Harry Plimmer, Arthur Styan, Sidney Stirling, Winter Hall, Paul Latham, J. Stewart Clyde and Cyril Bell. To-morrow (Friday) night the season will be brought to a ctoso with a production of Messrs. Maokay and Ord’s' delightful and fascinating comedy-drama, “Dr. Wake’s Patient,” The box plans will be on view this afternoon at the vestibule of tho theatre.
