AND RAILWAY RATES. ?(y Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 19. A deputation representing the Rangitikei and West Const (South Island) Sawmillers’ Associations waited on the Hon. i. M. Myers, 'Minister of Railways, this afternoon, in respect to the differential railway rates. The deputation complained that the millers on the Rotorua line were lietter treated in the way of concessions than were the millers represented by the deputation, though tiio latter had to compete with, the former in the same market. The Minister admitted the force of the representations, but pointed out that,, a considerable sum of' money was involved. The Railway Department was anxious to do the best it could for its customers. The matter would receive his careful consideration. ■
