The Dean of Newcastle, in a sermon, declared that it was no exaggeration to say that the majority of the rising generation of Australia was without any religious sense. Religion to them was foolish and unmanly. It was no exaggeration to say that'many children who could repeat tho names of Melbourne Cup winners for twelve years past did not know the names of the twelve apostles.
