At-the annual conference of the Australian fruitgrowers , amongst the resolutions carried was one in favour of clean fruit ex-orchard being admitted at a port of entry without fumigation, Mr. Izard (Now Zealand) declared that if fruit was not fumigated it must be critically examined. Any attempt to have the fumigation regulations lightened in New Zealand would meet little support from the Department of Agriculture.
