LARGE ORDER FOR RIFLES PLACED. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Receiver! Feb. 12, 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 11. The Birmingham Small Arms Company lias received an order for a largo consignment of rifles for Australian cadets. The Morning Post says tho news has caused great satisfaction to the workpeople, who have been slack lately. The fact that tho arming of cadets is not being postponed until the completion of an Australian small arms factory is an earnest of the Commonwealth’s desire to push forward universal training.
