A PROSPEROUS YEAR COMING

NAPIER Sept. 15. At the annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce this afternoon, Mr. D. A. Baxter, president, in concluding his address, remarked: "The prospects for our primary products being so satisfactory on the whole, I think we may fairly anticipate a prosperous yr.-ir ahead of us. This opinion is based on facts that the lambing now in progress seems likely to prove a record one. and that the growing clip of wool will be far above the average, both as regards condition and quantity. In spite of these views, however, I consider it n-y duty to utter a word of warninp against over-trading, speculation, and purchases in land at fancy prices."
