Despito Catholic protests, the Nottingham Trades Union Congress, by 1,433,000 against 131,000, recommended national fro© secular education, under proper control, from primary school' to university, also technical education for all children. The Congress also desired the establishment of scientifically-organised open-air recovery schools. A resolution was carried demanding pensions at the age of 60.
