IMMIGRANTS AND THE LABOUR MARKET.

AUCKLAND, Sept. 9.

The officials of the Labour Bureau are busily engaged in attempting to place in situations immigrants who arrived in Auckland by the Oswestry Grange. Over seventy immigrants have left the vessel here, and when the 179 have landed at Wellington from the lonic with the intention of proceeding to Auckland, the city's population will have been temporarily increased by 250 during a period of ten days.
