WELLINGTON, Sept. 9. John MLaughlin was sentenced by Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., to-day to 14 days' imprisonment without the option of a fine for using obscene language. John O' Sullivan was committed for trial on a charge of assaulting Richard Coulson so as to have caused bodily harm. Alexander Lawson was committed for trial on a charge of entering a dwelling by night with intent to commit a crime.
