THE FEDERAL CRISIS.

Deakin, has officially confirmed the report of his intention to remain in office at least tiM the tariff reform is through.' B.v will move an amendment that consideration of the question of a Royal Commission to inquire into the Post Office disorganisation be postponed till the tariff is out of the way. Rio expects that this amendment will be accepted. Mr Fisher, leader of the Labour Party, after the Labour Caucus, said he hoped harmonious relations would be restored. It is underwood that the majority of
the Lt'bour members have agreed to acept ilr Deakin's proposal.
