A ballot of the members of the Institute to-day decided to allow free, engineers to complete _ their terms of engagement. ■ , Subsequently a meeting of represent tatives of the gqastal companies ac« cepted the provisional agreement. Meetings of the unions affected are now in progress. The latest report is that they have refused certain proposals in the agreement. /
