DROWNING AT WAITARA.

, (From Our Own Correspondent.) James Lindsay, cook of the s.s. Tainui, who was drowned on Wednesday night at Waitara was a married man, aged 35. He has a family hying in Taranaki Street, Wellington. The body was recovered, lying close to the wharf where the Tainui was berthed. There was a gash in the top of the head and a slight abraision over tho right eye. It is surmised that the man fell over the gangway. He had only been on the steamer a couple of days. Consequently this was his first night ashore; _
