THE ASSOCIATION GAME,
HAWERA CLUB.
The annual meeting of tho Hawma Club was held on Thursday mg"t. Mr Stapleton presided. - * The balance-sheet showed a debit of £1 14s. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr L. t rost •. committee, Messrs Stapleton, Cliadwick, Keen, Foden and Nicho! ; secretary and treasurer, Mr W Smith; club captain, Mr Stapleton ; delegates, Messrs Frost and Nicol; selection committee, Messrs Keen, Edwards, and Foden. It was decided to enter two senior teams, or one team in each grade it senior and junior fixtures are played. It was resolved to urge upon the Union the desirability of fostering tho game among school boys. The Taranaki Union will be asked-to commtraidat© witsh the ! o\ T etv Union on the matter of sending a New Zealand second-grade team Home at the end of. the present season, and-tp do its utmost to further the project. A "Soccer" chib has been formed^ at Stratford. - /.. The Diamond Association Football Club (Wellington) is sending a teatn to play Kaponga on Easter Saturday.
