(From Our Own Correspondent.) Our dance came off oh Friday and was a great success. Mr Corkill, as M.C., kept thing* .coving. Mr Good at the piano and Mr Tutsclta on tho violin, supplied . the music, which was .very good. The annual meeting of ratepayers •was held on Monday night and passed v very quietly. The ratepayers eonsidec that a separate account of expenditure and receipts of each road should be kept. The meeting of the branch of the Farmers' Union to discuss the order P a P*i« to come before the Conference, nlsrt eaino off on -^ Monday night. There were about 20 'present. . All the items were, read and discussed., Mr E. " 0. Meredith, our secretary, read a paper entitled "The Watchfulness of the Fanners' Union.'' It was left for discu&sion with' several other matters!
