EMPLOYEES DISMISSED FROM THE SERVICE.
SIGNALMEN'S STHIKE EXPECTED Received May 13, 0.51> h<m, Melbourne, May 13. Last night, the time given far the executives of the railway societies to withdraw from the Trades Hall ar resign their "positions," expired. T-uvrng the afternoon two members oi the Amalgamated Society wrote io the Commissioner intimating that tboy had abcyed the order to resign. The 1 other eight members of the executive remagi ; they, with t>he executive oilicers of the engineers, firemen, carriage builder^, and two reraa ning officers of the Daily Paid Union will toe removed from, the service. Developments in connection with the signalmen are anxiously awaited. They held a conference at midnight, and a definite plan of action was agreed upon, which it is oclieved will probably result in the signalmen ceasing work very shortly.
